This is the kind of twist on a familiar story that gets my attention.
Give me the bones of Cinderella, then corrupt the hell out of it.
Instead of a helpless heroine waiting for someone to rescue her, Ella is intelligent, fiery and capable of causing some serious trouble herself. And instead of a sweet prince with a glass slipper...
We get a dangerous mafia king who becomes increasingly obsessed with the woman invading his world.
Much better.
And with a 4.8-star Amazon rating, readers seem to be enjoying Rafe's particular brand of darkness too.
