We ran a word puzzle two weeks ago and a spot-the-difference last week, but today? Today we are rolling out a juicy, head-spinning double mystery set during a high-stakes afternoon tea!
(Don't worry, this fictional training case uses a safe, spoiler-free setup inspired by our early Pine Hollow days, so no book 3 spoilers here!)

At 2:00 PM during a private afternoon tea, a non-lethal poison was dropped into a cup of Earl Grey. Four guests were seated around the table:
- Suspect A: The Antiques Collector
- Suspect B: The Head Chef
- Suspect C: The Landscape Architect
- Suspect D: The Event Planner
THE TIMELINE & EVIDENCE CLUES:
- 1:45 PM: The suspect who drank black coffee was sitting in the Gazebo, while the Event Planner was in the Conservatory setting up tea cups.
- 1:55 PM: The Landscape Architect poured iced herbal tea from a shared pitcher.
- 2:00 PM: The victim drank Earl Grey with sugar. The suspect who held the sugar bowl right before the poisoning was not the Head Chef.

"I couldn't possibly have poisoned the Earl Grey! At 1:58 PM, I was standing outside on the terrace looking through the glass conservatory window. I watched the victim pick up their silver spoon, stir two spoonfuls of sugar into their hot steaming tea, and take a sip. I saw the steam rising from the mug, so I knew it was fresh. I never even stepped inside the room or touched the sugar bowl!"
THE TWIST:
Dot listened to this statement, let out a sharp bark, and immediately called out the lie. There is ONE physical impossibility in this statement that proves the suspect is lying through their teeth!
