Happy Wednesday!
Hi friend,
How are you? Anything new and exciting this week?
All is well here in North Central PA. Joe and I decided to hike yesterday. You would think we would've learned our lesson after that last hike tried to off us both, but no, we did it again. Thankfully, this path wasn't nearly as strenuous. We went right up the road to Ricketts Glen State Park (setting of Grave Secrets) and took Bear Walk to Falls Trail and then returned to our vehicle via Highland Trail. About three miles, I think, give or take. We only got to see one of the smaller falls since we were only on Falls Trail for a short time. Have I mentioned that Ricketts has 26 named waterfalls? It really is a sight to behold if you're healthy enough to hike it. Just make sure to wear sturdy shoes, and if there are any doubts, turn back. People die on that trail. It isn't one to take lightly. Safer to just park near Adams Falls and enjoy that one since it's close to the 118 parking lot.
Anyway, all that to say this: by the end of it, we were paying for it (hips and knees). It was nice to spend some time in nature, though.
If you'll reply and share your prayer requests, I'd be honored to pray for you, as always.
FROM MY WRITING DESK
Another week without words. It's amazing to me how I can have the best of intentions but get waylaid by all of life's other responsibilities. Could use your prayers for some words this week.
FARM NEWS
The goats don't seem all that impressed with the new hay. We took second cut for the first 60 bales, so Farmer Joe's going to take first or third cut for the second batch, so we can see if they're happier with that.
Joe's been collecting acorns for the goats because they love them so much. He even splits them for the older goats since it's hard for them to eat them otherwise. For some reason, the video below got duplicated, so it'll play through twice if you keep watching. I didn't have time to fix it before sending today's email. I wasn't dressed for the camera, but Sadie, the goats, and the ducks are as cute as ever (even if a bit bratty).
