Why we require a mailing address

Every marketing email is legally required to include the sender's physical mailing address (this comes from the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, and similar laws elsewhere). It's not our rule—but we enforce it, because the fines land on the sender: you.

Set it once under your audience's Settings → Mailing address, and it's stamped into the footer of every email automatically—campaigns, sequences, everything. You never have to think about it again.

Until an audience has an address, sending is blocked—the send button will tell you exactly where to go.

Don't want to publish your home address? You're not alone—most authors don't. A P.O. Box from your local post office satisfies the law, protects your privacy, and typically costs a few dollars a month. Some authors use a registered LLC's address or a virtual mailbox service instead.

Each audience has its own address, so pen names can keep separate identities.
